Is there a way to give desktop shortcuts on the start screen of windows 8 a metro icon?

Example? I know I can find an image for steam and most of the games I have on steam.
I have a shortcut of steam on my startscreen, but I want to give it an image for its icon so it looks like a metro app.
The same follows with the other games.
If this does
not exist, how do I get this suggestion to Microsoft?
