Usually, I have my Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit computer on every day.
However, whenever I have been away from home overnight, the next time I switch on, the computer fails to start.
It attempts to repair itself, but this usually fails and I get a BSOD indicating
ntfs.sys as the problem driver.
Its as though there is a problem with some date/time function.
I get the computer running again by doing a system restore.

1 unknown error (probably a STOP 0x3B) blaming a memory corruption.

Please run the hard drive diagnostic that I requested. It checks different things than the disk check does. The disk check primarily checks the NTFS file system, while the hard drive diagnostic checks the physical characteristics of the hard drive.
And, obviously, the memory corruption error could be caused by bad memory - so a memory test is called for. Please note the suggestions about running a cold MemTest at the link I provided earlier (Step 6a).
