[Solved] Computer keeps freezing irregularly - Event 41

Computer keeps freezing irregularly - Event 41

Hello there.

I hope I'm posting on the right section.

Since the 7th of August I keep having the same problem, I've tried a few forums but I couldn't get an answer.

From time to time, my computer stops responding, the lights from my keyboard and mouse simply go off and that's it.
I've tried leaving the computer hanging in there for 10 minutes but it didn't come back, so I had to hit the reset button.
Now usually when I
hit the reset button, the computer immediately resets, but when this happens, the computer shuts off for 1-2 seconds, then starts up and after around 1-2 more seconds it turns off, turns itself back up and starts up with no problem.

This has happened while I was playing, listening to music and even simply reading an article on a website with no videos games or music going on.

All I have from the Event Viewer is this:

General: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.
This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

I ran memtest+82 (twice since the PC froze once) and there was nothing wrong with the memories.

I haven't installed any new drivers or programs recently, and this problem occurs both in Safe Mode and Selective Startup with no startup items loaded.

I have no backup either so I can see if it's a software issue or not.

My graphics card is at 70º and CPU at 40º degrees.

Here's my specs if you need them for something:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Version: Version    6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
CPU:  Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU         950  @ 3.07GHz, 3068 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6870
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth X58
Memory: G.Skill 3x 2GB DD3-2000 http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=205
SD: 2X OCZ Vertex 2 60GB

When I googled this error I found this: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/event-id-41-task-63-error/bcf64e19-7cc3-4b27-8152-0260690a26a1

This person had a problem with the RAM timings with his G.Skill ram sticks.
I also have G.Skill ram sticks but I have no idea what was it that he was talking about.
Then again, I assume event 41 is the standard code for when your computer shuts off and anything
could be the cause of it.

Here's a picture with the amount of times this error has occurred, it seems to have started before August, I didn't notice it though): http://i50.tinypic.com/33ygn5x.jpg

I hope you can help me as I have no other ideas in mind.
If you need anything else from me let me know, I'll be checking this thread hourly.

EDIT: I'm not sure if it's related but for the 2nd time ever, after getting some windows updates and restarting my computer the date/time is no longer set.
I had to reconfigure that.
Also I read that multiple people manage to have this problem solved by disabling
audio drivers in case they have more than one.
I'm trying that too as I have "AMD High Definition Audio Device", "Logitech G35 Headset" and "Realtek High Definition Audio".
Trying to disable the AMD ones like the other guys did but I'm not confident on this
since the computer does that 1-2 second shutoff after rebooting as I mentioned before and that leads me to believe the issue is hardware-related.
