Can't use command line arguments with Windows Calendar

Windows Calendar reminders show as a task in the WindowsCalendar folder in Task Scheduler.
The task has an Action that starts Windows Calender with the argument "/reminder".

If I run this task from Task Scheduler it doesn't work (it is allowed to run on demand).
If I edit the task and remove the argument the task will run and open Calendar as expected.

Why do calendar reminders in Task Scheduler include this argument if it doesn't work.
What arguments are available with Windows Calendar? Maybe it's a security thing to stop arguments being used maliciously?

Unless you have something scheduled in Windows Calendar, c:\program files\windows calendar\wincal.exe" /reminder
will not do anything.

That setting in Task Scheduler is built into the Vista Operating System in conjunction with the Windows Calendar program.
I believe it's Microsofts way of giving you some of the functionality that is in the Microsoft Office program "Outlook"

Unless you have a specific reason for needing to mess with those settings, I would just leave them alone.

In this method we will try to Boot in Safe mode with Networking and see if the error still persists.

• Search "MSCONFIG" and Open.
• Click on Boot Tab
• Tick Safe Boot in Boot Option
• Select Network.
• Click Apply and OK.
• Reboot your System.
